Pre-Congress Workshops

The Congress will commence on Wednesday 21 May 2025 with a series of Pre Congress-Workshops allowing you the opportunity to deep dive into a range of topics and issues. Half day workshops will be on offer in the morning and the afternoon with some full day options too.

More information about the workshop content, speakers, costs and booking options will be released in late 2024 but for now the topics being planned include:

Half Day Workshops

  • Building interdisciplinary qualitative endometriosis research skills to improve healthcare outcomes
  • Early-mid career workshop
  • Harnessing psychology to improve healthcare for people with endometriosis
  • Nursing in endometriosis: Leading the way to better health
  • The relationship between exercise and endometriosis
  • The biological and psychosocial approach to pelvic pain associated with endometriosis
  • Surgical management of deeply invasive endometriosis: Evidence and techniques for optimized outcomes
  • Using ART and science for infertility

Full Day Workshops

  • Embracing new technologies and collaborative partnerships to enhance laboratory-based endometriosis research
  • Non-invasive diagnosis of endometriosis and planning endometriosis surgery

Scientific Avenue Workshop for Research Priorities in Cardiology

Since 2017, every other World Congress of Endometriosis has concluded with a session dedicated to setting research priorities for endometriosis. The session is held in a partnership between the World Endometriosis Society (WES) and the World Endometriosis Research Foundation (WERF). A past example can be viewed here. 

As a Congress delegate, you are invited to attend and the details are as follows:

Cost: $50 inc GST per person

You can register your interest and secure your place through the online registration form. When registering, you will be asked to select your preferred level of participation from the below: 

  • A Presenter: Responsible for preparing the background materials, workshop presentations and organizing sub-committees before the workshop under the direction of the Organizing Committee.
  • A Participant: Be a sub-committee member, contribute to workshop presentations and assist with workshop logistics.
  • An Observer: Attend the workshop and participate in Q&A.
